Pilatus installs broadband internet on the PC-24

Stans, 2 July 2026

Stans - The aircraft manufacturer Pilatus is providing the high-speed internet solution Gogo Galileo as an option for its PC-24 Super Versatile Jet. The system can be factory-installed or retrofitted and provides broadband internet access at cruising altitude via the OneWeb satellite network.

Pilatus is expanding the fitting options for its PC-24 business jet with the introduction of the Gogo Galileo internet solution, as detailed in a company statement. The system, which works on the basis of the OneWeb satellite network, offers reliable broadband connectivity worldwide with low latency and high upload and download speeds. This means that it is possible to use even demanding applications such as video conferencing and cloud services during a flight.

The solution is available as a factory-installed option or can also be retrofitted. According to Pilatus, the antenna has been integrated into the aircraft in such a way that drag is minimized, while also ensuring only a minor impact in terms of overall weight and noise. Moreover, the impact on take-off performance, climb rate and cruising speed is described as negligible.

In addition, Pilatus offers an in-flight entertainment system in collaboration with Lufthansa Technik. Among other features, this includes a 10-inch touchscreen with a 3D moving map, four cabin speakers with a subwoofer, mood lighting, USB ports, media storage and Wi-Fi connectivity.

According to information from the company itself, Pilatus Flugzeugwerke AG, which was founded in 1939, develops and manufactures unique aircraft and training systems to support the qualification of pilots around the world. The PC-24 reportedly stands out on account of its ability to also operate on short and unmade runways. ce/ja
