Michelin-starred chef Fabian Inderbitzin creates menus for Swiss long-haul flights

Kloten/Hergiswil - Swiss International Air Lines is bringing flavors from the Swiss canton of Nidwalden to guests on board long-haul flights departing from Switzerland. The light, summery gourmet menus are the work of Michelin-starred Fabian Inderbitzin, head chef at Seerestaurant Belvédère.

Halter hands over ZenO in Oberdorf

Schlieren/Oberdorf/Stans - Halter AG has handed over the modern ZenO residential complex in the center of Oberdorf to its residents. The complex comprises 50 new apartments in addition to a range of commercial spaces. The construction was commissioned by the Nidwalden Cantonal Pension Fund and the first residents have already moved in.

Pilatus seeking to recycle prepreg waste from aircraft manufacturing

Stans/Zurich - The aircraft manufacturer Pilatus has launched a project that aims to recycle prepreg waste in conjunction with researchers from HSLU and inspire AG. At present, Pilatus disposes of more than six tons of this carbon fiber reinforced waste each year, which the company will now strive to re-use in its aircraft manufacturing processes.

Nidwalden gets first 1,000 fiber optic connections

Stans/Buochs - The first active connections in the Swiss canton of Nidwalden’s fiber optic network have been completed and are now available for sale. Stans and Buochs each have 500 connections. Investors in the new network include project developer Cantonal Electricity Works Nidwalden, as well as Swiss FibreCo and Swisscom.

Pilatus strengthens presence in Germany with takeover

Stans/Burbach - The aircraft manufacturer Pilatus is taking over the German company Air Alliance GmbH. The acquisition builds on a long-standing partnership between the two companies. All Air Alliance employees will be retained under the company’s new ownership.

PILATUS delivers first PC-12 PRO ambulance aircraft

Stans - PILATUS has delivered its first PC-12 PRO in ambulance configuration to the Royal Flying Doctor Service of Australia. The PC-12 PRO is the first of five aircraft overall that will provide medical care to remote regions of Australia.
