PILATUS delivers first PC-12 PRO

Stans, 1 October 2025

Stans - PILATUS has handed over the PC-12 PRO to its first customer. Dion Weisler, former CEO of HP and new member of the Qantas Board, personally flew the single-engine turboprop aircraft home from Switzerland to Australia together with a Pilatus pilot over six days.

PILATUS has started deliveries of its new aircraft on schedule just before the start of the fourth quarter of 2025, as it had announced when launching the PC-12 PRO on 14 March 2025. The first customer Dion Weisler collected his new PC-12 PRO in Stans in the canton of Nidwalden and personally flew it from Switzerland to Adelaide in Australia together with one of the Pilatus pilots. According to a company statement from the Nidwalden aircraft manufacturer, the total flight time was 41 hours across six days.

“It was an incredible learning opportunity to fly your own aircraft home over such a vast distance,” says Weisler. “I am thrilled to own this new intuitive and highly innovative aircraft, and look forward to flying many missions in the future with it.”

The PC-12 PRO is the latest version of this single-engine turboprop and is Weisler’s fourth PC-12. The former CEO of HP has been Non-Executive Director of the Australian airline Quantas since March 2025.

The company highlights that the new model is equipped with a completely redesigned cockpit and integrated safety features from Garmin, including the emergency landing function Autoland. “If something happens to me, this system automatically takes control to get the aircraft back on the ground at the nearest airport.,” explains Weisler. “You can’t put a price on that additional peace of mind.”

The aircraft is also “equipped with the latest version of the most reliable aircraft engine ever produced”, the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6. This is also capable of operating with sustainable aviation fuel. ce/mm
