Stans/Broomfield/Oxford - The Nidwalden-based aircraft manufacturer Pilatus has delivered the first PC-12 NGX, a single-engine turboprop aircraft, to Tradewind Aviation. A further 19 PC-12 NGXs will be delivered over the next five years.
Tradewind Aviation has accepted delivery of its first PC-12 NGX at the site of the Pilatus subsidiary in Broomfield in the US State of Colorado. A further 19 PC-12 NGX models are to be delivered over the course of the next five years to Tradewind Aviation’s headquarters, which are located in Oxford in the US State of Connecticut, further details of which can be found in a press release issued by Pilatus.
The PC-12 NGX is the successor to the PC-12, which Pilatus describes on its website as “the most versatile and valued business aircraft in the world”. Tradewind is the largest operator of PC-12s for private charter in the USA.
“We’re thrilled to take delivery of the first of twenty brand-new PC-12 NGX aircraft”, says David Zipkin, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer at Tradewind, adding that these new aircraft “will further expand our ability to grow and serve our clients with the very best flight experience”. According to the press release, the new aircraft will serve to allow Tradewind Aviation to further expand its offering in the premium markets in the Northeastern United States and the Caribbean.
“The PC-12 continues to lead the industry as the global fleet approaches 2,000 aircraft and ten million flight hours. The demand remains very strong among new and returning customers looking to upgrade”, comments Thomas Bosshard, President and CEO of Pilatus Business Aircraft Ltd., which is a subsidiary of Pilatus. “Our customers, especially fleet and charter operators, value the PC-12 NGX’s reliability, performance and elevated passenger experience”, he adds.
